Anthony's Perfect Capsize Recovery

Andy and Anthony spent the afternoon capsizing the boat for the purpose of practicing recovering it. There was virtually no wind throughout our exercises. Probably flipped it 12 times. It was an excellent experience and really changed our sense of the boat, it's buoyancy, and how hard it actually is to capsize.

In this video, shot while Andy floated nearby with my camera running, you see Anthony climb onto the center board, stand on it, then take hold of the jib sheet threaded through its block so he can lean out more. From there, the mast is slowly pulled out of the water, the water slowly escapes from atop the sail, and the boat rights.

Anthony falls perfectly into the boat, and is able to take the controls and sail over to pick Andy up.

Great work, Anthony!
